I have been on the Nisqually the past few days with absolutely no hok ups or that sort of thing. I fish Canada and have multiple hook ups w/ an 8 foot leader as they use up there but no such luck down here. Where on the Nisqually is the best place to go without the crowds? I usually fish right across from the Indian school. Please help???!!!! I drive a gray 4 runner w/a license plate holder that says "I love diving" so if ya see me come talk to me. Richard

It might not be you. it's probably because the fish aren't really running yet. they are either really late or not going to show. I know the spot you fish. I drive throught that spot sometimes. whiite GMC ex-cab 4x4 with cowboys on the side windows. if you see me you will know me stop me and I'll shoot the bull with ya dcrzfitter

8ft. leader????Thats long lining.Gets in the fishes mouth and it hooks itself. It can be affective but if a fish cop sees it he will ticket you...Besides if the fish dont bite thats not much sport is it?? TM [This message has been edited by Timber man (edited 08-21-2000).]

Yeah i heard of a guy last year who got a ticket for have a leader over 24" on the Nisqually. Some rule that no-one knows about, never did find it the fish book, but hey, i don't push my luck. I agreed with DC, fish either late, no good solid rain or not coming.

I'm gonna be leavin the area for a few years and desperately need to hook some fish before I go. Am gonna be down in the Tacoma area this weekend and figured I'd fish PT D, maybe try off of the fox island fishing pier and also give the Nisqually a shot. The only place I've fished down there is @the Handicapped access. Not asking for any secret spots but would really appreciate it if someone could give me driving dir.s to a good spot to bank fish the Nisqually.
Thanx, Roger

Hey Schitzo, how about a little clue of where you took off too? We all would like to know of somewhere that the fish are at least starting to show. I've spent my time on the Nasty and the Puy, but far too much time b.s.ing and no fish. I have had more hits on the Puyallup, even in the choclate brown water on saturday. Pitched almost all the way across on the incoming and was holding with a 3 oz. pyramid and the pole just took a sudden bong. Was fishing with my special squid body and rag inserted with shrimp scent. What the guy below me pull on every leaf strike he had. Used alot of eggs and never did have a strike.
