Ok, I have the killer eggs all cured up. Now the question is....Has anyone ever vacuum packed cured eggs? I just don't want the pull to squish the eggs. Maybe if I freeze the eggs first and then vacuum pack them? Any ideas?

Steelydan, I take a canning jar and put the eggs into it and light a match and close the lid as QUICKLY as possible...Then I will take the jar and vacum seal it into a bag. This insures that all the air has been taken out of the jar and will keep the eggs fishin good for a very long time.I hope this has helped...

I use the match in the jar trick too. And I always freeze my eggs before I vacu pack, other wise you do squish them. Works good freezing them in the skein, then vaccu pack, cut them into bait size as you use them, My vaccu has a jar attachment, so that works well for already cut bait. I also freeze my fish in a fish bag and then into a vaccu bag. Take the fish out of the vaccu bag and thaw the fish in the fish bag. This keeps the vaccu bag from getting too fishy and is easier to reuse.
