1.7 million votes is what Clinton is now ahead. That's more people than in both Wyoming and Alaska combined. Yeah, this system works really well if you want to give disproportionate power to the smallest States!

Yeah, this system works really well if you want to give disproportionate power to the smallest States! They all played under the same rules. Also, the "Wyoming and Alaska combined" is exactly why the EC exists, so that the blue (or red) states can not speak for everyone. Take a look at the "red and blue" map showing how people voted. http://www-personal.umich.edu/~mejn/election/2016/ Do you feel it's right for those coastal blue states to speak for the rest of the country, or vice-versa?
