I've really been getting into lately, on Saturday night they have free to watch matches. I don't think I would pay 60.00 bucks for pay per view. I really miss watching the boxing growing up with all the great prize fighters back then, I feel lucky to have seen the golden years of boxing, this MMA is kind of filling that void. I'm still learning this MMA stuff, and it's pretty entertaining. Who else follows it?

Fights on FS2 most every early morning, and then there's Muay Thai on RSNW at least once a week, again usually starting at 2-3AM.
If you get AXS TV, every Friday night there's MMA, hosted by Michael Schavello and Pay Militech. Usually as good of fights as you'll find on UFC (and sometimes better).
Joey Periotti....local boy, they call him mama's boy, he's interesting to watch. His Grampa was tough hombre and that's first hand knowledge....
Just watched one of his video's, and he looks like a well rounded welteweight. At 4-0 as a Pro, he's got a good start. Hopefully he'll get noticed by one of the bigger promoters and have a chance to advance for the high-$ fights.
If a guy's gonna do that for a living, he sure as hell better get paid well for it!
Been talking about it on here for years, and everyone told me to shut the fvck up....
Don't know ya, but from what I've seen busting your balls is the favorite pastime for a majority of the forum. What'd you do to piss people off so bad?
Holm did more than KO Rousey, she rung her bell so hard Rousey lost some of her brass. She's booked for a UFC PPV event, but I'm waiting to see if she actually steps up and fights again.

Maybe it was from delusional and fabricated replies, like the quote above.
That and/or he doesn't know when to shut his snivel'n little bitch mouth.
This is what happens to one who doesn't have a forethought.
Edited by Kinetic Kwik (11/24/1610:14 AM) Edit Reason: That aaannnddd. Can't get a fuckin clue as to why he was booted from the board. Not only once, but twice. OK 4 times then. NUMBSKULL
KK -2.0, stfu, you are a retard, first off it was 4 times, secondly, go do a search, i used to post UFC threads all the time...
GD, dont know either, probably because i dont put up with old peoples sh!t on the internet, never have, never will...
Rousey fights Amanda Nunes at 207, Nunes will likely kick her ass too... Rhonda got exposed by Holly, thats what happened... Holly got exposed by Tate, and Tate got her ass whipped by Nunes.... Nunes will probably be champ for a while, until she fights Cyborg...
thats another issue, if Rousey wins, she will have to fight Cyborg, and she will get her ass kicked AGAIN...
coming up on 206, the Cormier/Rumble fight will be or should be an excellent match, i was really looking forward to Jones becoming champion again, we will have to wait for that tho...
my friend Demico was on TUF (Evans/Rampage) on Quinton's team with Kimbo... he ended up losing to Brendan Schaub, and is now a firefighter, still trains daily tho... my other buddy Mike fights at Snoqualmie and a few other venues like that every now and then...

Used to follow boxing. It seems like it has fallen from mainstream and is all about ppv. With boxing it seems like most fighters when they are fresh have pretty solid defense but as the fight wears on, both guys are standing toe to toe flailing their arms to see who falls over first.
In MMA, if you don't have good defense ALL fight long, you will be submitted or knocked out very quickly. The style and background of these fighters are what makes it entertaining. Been following it for around 7 years now and find it as entertaining as anything.
The only thing I don't care for is the self promotion/WWF/E stunts they pull to draw in bigger audiences. If you don't believe me, check out Connor McGregor or Rampage Jackson.
The fight that got me hooked on MMA was the Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber2 fight....wow
All the greats are really good at slowly breaking down their opponent. It's a chess match that involves dragging the weaker man into deeper water, or having the gift of being able to knock someone out in one punch. A good fisherman will employ a multitude of techniques given the water conditions to be successful because one technique or style will not be successful 100% of the time, same with fighting...
In all fairness to Redhook, he did call the Holm/Rousey fight... suprised me...like Rich predicting Trump to win

The technique that I find most successful is a 10/0 treble with a hunk of lead. It takes water condition out of the mix too. :>)

Evo, is UFC the only body of MMA? or is MMA a body of itself?
