I'm sick of all these Seattle sh!theads dumping there unwanted pets at my place. They think "oh ... what a nice place to live...out in the country..." Anyway, what's your favorite cat load. I like the AR with Hornaday V-MAX 40 gr or the 12 ga with # 4 buck.

Why would you wipe your load on a cat? Can't you find an old sock or something else to use as a cum rag?

Hunting buddy saw one feral cat in the Sierra Mother Lode while chasing deer. Used his .250-3000. Says the slug was still doing 3000fps when it hit; som quail saved.

Discharging firearms is prohibited in my neighborhood. I wouldnt shoot a dog or cat anyways but if i did I would imagine 22lr for cats or 100 gr .243 for dogs would do the job. If I could keep the neighbors dogs from shi**ing in my yard and tearing things up. Don't see as big of problems with cats, they keep the mice down and blurry their sh** and seem to be overall less destructive.
I hear Frank is the cat whisperer, after a couple days they will be eating crab out of his hands.

Had a prof whose neighborhood dog would mark his garbage can. He hooked the can to an electric fence. Dog marked it one more time.

Dogs don't get dumped near as much as cats do around here and they usually get taken in and found homes. Cats just seem to revert to being wild and breed like crazy. The coyotes and eagle pick off some of them but at times there are cat population explosions that need thinning down. From what I see cats don't do much in the way of keeping rodent populations down but the kill a hell of a lot of birds.

They are hellaciously damaging of nesting seabirds in Hawaii. Seen video of cats waiting at burrow mouths, above timberline, to grab the adults as they enter the burrow.

Be sure to de-claw the cat before you unload.

Just remember kiddos - spay and neuter your pets!
As an owner of a pair of Maine Coon cats, can't say that I would go out and shoot random stray cats, seeing how I also live C-attle. But if I did or could, I'd just pop them with a suppressed .22. Anything more than that and your over compensating for something.
I am guilty of having outdoor cats that unfortunately will get a bird or two along with all the rodents they love to bring in the house. My cats love to meander in the neighborhood, visit with the neighbors, flop down in front of you for a belly rub if you walked by and in general, always seem to use the soft dirt under my shed house for their toilet.
I'm more likely to assassinate a dog who takes a dump in my yard than a stray cat. Again, a suppressed 22 would do the trick very nicely. Unfortunately, that's really on the dog owners than the dog. I'm the kinda guy that if I catch you walking your dog and it craps on my yard and you don't scoop the poop, I'll discretely follow you home. Once I know where you live, you'll get a nice little present or two at some point in the future.

22 LR don't work on cats unless it's a head shot and my shooting skills are not what they used to be.

Paker is a creepy cat lady.
Sub-sonic .22lr is pretty damn quiet. I have yet to have a neighbor complain about my squirrel irradication efforts using them. Then again, I live in Alaska and my neighbors aren't apt to complain if I shoot a howitzer in the back yard from time to time. .22lr will kill anything that lives and breathes, it's just a matter of how long it will take.

Can't imagine why anyone would need to be shooting a cat unless it is fighting and harming your own cat. Other than that, how the hell is a little cat going to cause you harm?
You presume it to be feral, but it could just as well be some little girls kitty that wandered over.
If for some reason you are forced to shoot a cat (or any domestic critter), make damn sure it's a clean head shot. No reason for that animal to suffer because you're too stupid to know how to properly aim your weapon.
If you feel that just because you have a rifle in your hands that you need (or have a right to) to take some critters life, then it's probably not a good idea for you to have that weapon.

I shot a problem cat with these once. Non-lethal.....he went straight up about 3-4 feet and hit the ground running. Quite a sight. Never came back. (I had a touch of W231 in there for a little more oomph)
