For any one who might be thinking on fishing the Reach They can still be caught. We spent about 4hours back trolling between the hatchery and the irrigation canal and had pretty good luck picking up 3 kings around 20lb's and loosing 2 and missing a few. The guys on shore are picking up some nice Stealies ranging to 14lb's. They also can be caught from boat pulling hotshots in metalic pink. The Kings are getting pretty far along turning red but still have lots of fight in them!. We did catch one that was still in good shape. One question I have is, Does any one know why it is that one minute there are fish rolling every where you look and the very next there cant be a single fish seen? At times it was like the water was boiling and the fish were trying to get out, and the next there couldnt be a fish seen for miles.
Just wondering.

Fished the reach this weekend just above vernita bridge, caught twelve fish ranging from eighteen to thirtyfive pounds. It was a little slow but still had alot of fun.

Went back out yeaterday and hit'em again. put 4 nice kings in the boat and a couple jacks. The kings were between 15 and 30 pounds, And to our amazement they were all
(the Kings)in pretty good shape. They guys on shore were nailing the Stealies! I know the average time spent for the shore guys could'nt of been more than two hours before they had their two fish and were on the way home. I cant say enough about the Egg cure! We were the last boat in and according to the warden were the only boat that had brought in salmon. A huge thanks again to all who submitted a recipe!
