I have never fished for silvers. I have heard that the Klickitat fishes well for them this time of year. It is a long drive for me and I'm wondering when I should make the trip.

Any reports of success or failure would be appriciated.

Don't think its worth a trip from New Zealand

i was on the klick on sunday i didnt see any sign of any silvers, but i wasnt looking for them either. i plam to be there friday and saturday looking for native steelhead i'll let you know on sunday if i see any coho

LOL Ak! Recently the WDFW rated the angler catch rate for the Klickitat at 1.5 per rod a day average; one of the best rates around. But I believe it has slowed a little from that. It is still a very good prospect, but like Ak says ....

I saw those same stats on the per fish on a news release form wdfw. It had all kinds of stats on fishing and hunting.

OH! I believe that was a stat on boat fishing on the Klick the shore fisherman was less. Maybe .5

The guys out trolling at the mouth are knocking the crap out of em . Couple buddys hooked 10 last Sunday ..

The Klickitat is hot and cold right now. If you plan on trolling it's been pretty hot. If you plan on bank fishing it's hot and cold. Fished the gorge Thurs and just about everyone was into the fish. Went down Friday and didn't see one fish hooked. Since the count at Bonneville is still on the rise, It should keep getting better.

i fished the klick all weekend didnt see or hear of any coho if there are any around they muct be in the extreme lower end of the river

I fished the gorge this morning , landed one .. It was real slow . Didn`t hear of any other fish hooked ..

I was on the Klick Saturday morning from the bank, caught one small silver 6-7 lbs saw two others caught. All in All perdy darn slow.
