Yes its darned close to that fun time of year when you can't find a green corkie to save your life at any local sporting goods stores.
Anyone been hitting any early chromers on the Sky yet?
Or have any advice for ideas on pulling plugs, I heard they like quick-fish.
Any fishing reports much appreciated along with lure advice!
Thanks! tighlines

Make a note to bookmark the WDFW site. http://www.wa.gov/wdfw/fish/regs/regchng/oct1300a.htm Unless I'm reading that wrong, it says you can keep chums and coho in the Sky/Sno. I haven't seen anything bright enough to keep yet, but you can keep 'em if you want 'em. I normally just use K-15's or jigs for woof woofs. That's all you really need. Actually, the jigs work much better, but it's more fun on the Kwickies. Parker

Hey, Parker. Yes, the Sky was open and that means you could have kept that Chum you got up there! I would have even loaned you a spoon to eat it with*LOL*.
We saw a few Doggies above Nordstrom's on the lower Sky last weekend. More to follow.
8-FOOT, How goes it since the last time I saw ya? I will be on the Sky/Snohomish as many fishable days as possible tuggin' K-15's and Bunny Jigs with a little somethin' extra on the hook. Let me know if you need any reports or look for me on the river in a Black Thor Built drift boat. There are only two colors you need for Kwickies. The G.B. and the C.H.T. Who let the dogs out?? Woof, Woof.

SAUK- I tried a few more time on LK WA for silvers, tappered off real quick there. Fish are there, but they are totally lockjawed now.
I've been out on the sound for the dogs, but the day we went out the winds were something fierce and we had to turn around.
Went on the Sky just this last monday and managed to only catch a nice ding on the bottom of my sled below 522 where it shallows down the 2nd tailout from the bridge. I can go in about 6 inches of water just fine up on a plane, but when one rock sticks up higher then the rest, well you know what happens next...lol
Anyways, just a little baby bruise is all. I'll be out on sunday or monday looking for steelies and chums below sultan.
See ya round sauk.
by the way...yes post reports here when you get them...thanks!

Sorry. I fish with the guy and even I don't know what the heck he is talking about!
Purples, chartreuse, and dashes of red seem to work ok on kwikies for the woofers, although I seriously doubt a woof woof is that picky.
More importantly is how correctly tuned the kwikie is with the 'dine wrap.
Backbouncing is probably more prefered than flat lining kwikies for woof woofs. At least it is for us!
On a side note, I just picked up a cheap St. Croix 8 weight bug rod and GLoomis reel. Gonna see if I can't accidently hook a woofers on a fly this year! Might even try to use a bug rod for steelies this spring! Whoa.
