Andy, Eric, or ANYBODY....think the Satsop will be fishable tomorrow (Sunday)?
|
It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

I know it's gotta be muddy now, but it's starting to drop. Just wondering what the color looks like if any of you guys got a chance to see it.
Thanks in advance.......
Fish on......

As of this morning the Turnow branch is still very muddy, this ruins the east fork. The west fork is extremely high and muddy, you know what that means. Hopefully it will be fishable by Tuesday. The Cowlitz seems to be the only game in town for the next couple of days. I'll be there tomarrow. Will post upon my return.

Dan,
Drove up the wynoochee, over to and down the satsop Friday afternoon.....pukey! but the height wasn't out of control. Everything is on the drop...it's just not happening real fast. The east fork was still semi-clear but tea colored. 10,247 people at the s-bends judging from the rigs along the road.
Sunday? I'd say marginal at best.

Eric is correct........2 of us went for a "lookie lou" this morning, Saturday. Started close to the Humptulips, went back over to the Wynoochee, around "cross over bridge", then backroads over to the West Fork of the Satsop, up to Sheafer State Park, down the east side of the Satsop to Fuller Bridge on the Chehalis.
Bottom line.....clear water on the East Fork of the Satsop but the fish have gone thur. Everything else was "gone"......I'd say a "no go" for sunday maybe Monday????
Eric..that was 10,247 cars, not just people, at just the Decker Ck area, Sheafer Park, and other close areas. What a zoo!!!!!!!!
