Looking for a good ultra light travel blank. Preferably Rainshadow’s sp720-4 which appears to be discontinued. Looking to wrap a matching pair of spinning rods for trout fishing while backpacking California’s Sierras. A 3 or 4 piece ultra light that is comparable to the sp720-4 or any recommended suitable replacements would be appreciated.

I went with 7' fly rod blank, it was a 4 pc in a 3 weight if I remember correctly. Got it off eBay used the olde fly shop. Super nice guy to deal with.

I know this post is old, but the blank has never been out of production, you got the part number wrong a bit. It's a SB720-4, not a SP720-4. If you had looked in the Rainshadow catalog you'd have seen it, RX6 travel blanks.
