Pump shotguns are hard to beat. Just the psychological aspect of pumping the action puts the fear into people.

I do more than half of my deer hunting with my short barreled Remington 870. I never end up using it to make the kill but one of these days. I also want to kill a deer with my Glock 20. Could have a couple times on opening day just driving down the road on small bucks but passed as it was too easy, when you get out of the car walk over to spikes and small 2 points, get within 10 feet and point your pistol at their head and they just stare at you its too easy.
