Oh my, this thread just keeps on. I don't feel like I missed anything substantive, but Flatbrim quoted me, so I'll respond to those bits.

Yes, I know some clothing is still made in the US. That doesn't mean that most is not. Not everyone can afford the higher priced US goods, so they will have to weigh those prices against tariffed imported goods. And if the demand goes up for the US goods, that will just drive those prices even higher. There is no win for consumers.

You got me on income tax, went down 1%, but we paid more due to higher net income and fewer deductions. Guess I should say thanks for catching that.

As for the illegal immigrant murderers, your source doesn't give the time period, and I couldn't verify that sources saying it covered several decades, so I guess we're stuck. I don't want to give the wrong impression because I agree that there should be only one class of immigrants: legal ones.

I understand that we can look up a lot of things, however the internet as a source is a leading cause of misinformation.

You're right that Trump hasn't been convicted of rape. He was adjudicated guilty of sexual assault and defamation of E. Jeanne Carrol, and the judge said that under NY law was Trump did was the equivalent of rape. Oh, and he owes Carrol some $84 million.

Clearly we heard different things regarding Trump's intended use of the military. Like a good Mob Boss, Trump can be careful with language. He did say that he would use the military on "the enemy within." Then, in a different quote he described that the enemy within basically includes all his political rivals, leaving it to the listeners to draw the connection.

And if Trump doesn't support Project 2025, why are there so many parallels between it and Trump's Agenda 47? If Trump wins I guess we'll see just how little Trump cares about Project 2025. Just one more day . . .
