Well, my son, friends from Cincinnati, and I got out yesterday and had a wonderful day. We fished the Satsop. We found a stretch that had willing chum biters and no other fishermen. Never fear, there were plenty of fishermen both upriver and down. The weather was perfect and my son caught his first river salmon, and his 2nd, 3rd, 4th, ..... I think he hooked about 25 and landed about 15. What a great day! I've got pictures, my photographic skill is not as good as my fishing skill (and that ain't great shakes either laugh ) but I hope you can see the joy we felt.

Here's Jackson fighting a chum.

First one landed (I hadn't even got my rod strung yet!)

An estimated 20 pounder - a true monster and far too heavy to lift.

Another one!

And the best part of all - memories for a lifetime.
