Ouch!

Thanks CFM for your words of support. I'll see you on the garbage line. wink

Woodsy Wayne,

I think you missed the point by about 100%. I'm not interested in professional graphic artists sending me their work - unless they felt so inclined. This is for guys who sit in front of their computers and have some talents that they'd like to share. Since I started working on WL.com six years ago I've always made a point of running contests and finding ways to give back to the readers that have contributed so much to the site.

I've really enjoyed running WL.com and it has been my privledge and honor to have met many nice anglers who have helped build the site into a valuable resource for lake fishing. I've always thought of it as an online community for anglers and as such I often run contests to add content to the site. I also can't pay writers to write the articles that readers submit. Should I not run contests asking for submission of articles and pictures either?

FYI, I don't advertise on Bob's site. He has been generous enough to let me share space on his forum because he felt that our sites were a good match in terms of river and lake fishing. By linking together we bring two communities of anglers together. It's a good deal for both of us.

I'm really not interested in getting into a debate about this. Life is way to short. Have a nice day.
