Chuck E,

I never would have guessed a slab of marble could stir such emotion. I was in DC for the first time in 1993 and thought I'd go see the capitol, the Smithsonian natural history museum, and by chance went by the Vietnam Memorial, looked up the names of a couple schoolmates. One of my best friends brother was in the Navy, and his F5 was shot down over the Gulf of Tonkin. A girlfriend's brother that I was in FFA with, and we used to raise and exhibit livestock in county fairs, was a helocopter pilot, also shot down. It really shook me up. I didn't get over it for days. I still feel for the families and friends of those 58,000 names.
