Replacement workers may be brought in to train in the event the IAM decides to strike against Intalco.

It seems to me that just a couple of years ago that plant was almost shut down as a result of the economy. Is this really the time to strike? In a tight economy with people still jobless, is it really wise to strike when the average worker covered under the contract would be paid $72,000 a year?

I bet there will be plenty of people out there willing to take 'scab' jobs in order to put some beans on the table.

Intalco to train replacement workers
