I bought the ace and used it the first day of shrimping. Then I went to Johns in Everett and purchased the bulldog attachment for the second day.

The instructions for using the bulldog are crap. The line slipped all the time and I had to hold the lever to get the pot up.

I called Ace in Nanamio to bitch and they told me the instructions for the bullog are crap and need to be changed. No Kidding.......

I installed 2 washers (spacers) to make the gap bigger, then installed 2 more for good luck, and removed the rubber "O" ring. The line for the pots now rides on the 4 washers and never slips. Shrimping is now completely "hands free". I love the Ace with the Bulldog.

I have a large round bucket/tub from a feed store (with drain holes drilled in the bottom) underneath the puller. The Bulldog pulls and coils the line completely hands free, it is really a sweet setup. Each pot has 400 feet of line. The bucket holds all 1600 feet of line, so when I 'm finished shrimping the line is already coiled and ready for storage. Just wash it down with fresh water when you get home.
