Good post Streamer. Spot on with the deficiencies of the hiring process and the role of unions covering up the crimes committed by their members.

The cops have fostered the us vs. them attitude and it's biting them in the ass now. I've always been on the side of the law which is perhaps why I dislike most cops. They think they're above the law and usually they are. Historically I was the kind of guy that would jump in to help a cop struggling with a suspect but not anymore. I won't risk getting shot by a responding cop with an itchy trigger finger, instead I'll stand back and watch, not knowing who is right and who is wrong. It's no longer the case that the guy with the badge is a good guy.

BLM uses the wrong cases in which to illustrate the problem belying their grievances and their tactics don't further their cause. They do however highlight the problem of morally unjustifiable use of deadly force. The most disenfranchised elements of society are the barometer of the injustices suffered by all. While I disagree with virtually everything that the BLM does, I don't disagree with their underlying message. Black lives matter, but not just in death. Gangbangers live by the sword and die by the sword, irregardless of who wields that sword.
