He is the face of the Manures, more so than Griffey. Gar is about as nice of a person you could meet. Griffey treated the local press like chit while he was here. I have mixed feelings of him not fielding a position for part of his career ,but if anyone deserves it, it's Edgar.

Yeah - I got it. Didn't know HOF voting counting occurred yesterday and also didn't know all of the cool kids just called him "Gar". I'm not a cool kid or Hank and use stupid nicknames. Why not "Ed" or "Mart" or "Inez". See? fvckin' stupid.
Good for EDGAR MARTINEZ. I'm sure his bust in the HOF will just say "Gar" with no other information and everyone the planet will automatically know who that is.
Can't wait for "Man" to make the hall. If you don't know who that is, then you wouldn't understand and are not cool.

Huh? Am I supposed to know about this Gar fella? The instant I saw Gar!, I knew it was EdGar! Martinez. I mean, who wouldn't know that? Even stam knew that and he hates baseball. For once you are partially correct... ...congrats?  I listened to the clip of Neihaus calling the final play of the playoff that put the hapless Mariners in the championship game years ago, couldn't help but like it some. I used to listen to games when Griffey and Goathead and Edgar played, Neihaus was truly a hall of famer, he could literally make baseball sound interesting, now it's like listening to an accountant explaining some esoteric tax law that doesn't apply to anybody, anywhere. So dark side Mariner game in July?

Change of topic. Why doesn't the NFL change the team roster from 53 to lets say 58 ? With all of the injuries it makes sense to me. I wouldn't see why the Players Union would be against it. Any thoughts?
