The importance of this is since it is suppose to be illegal for the U.S. to spy on U.S. citizens without a FISA warrant they just have the other countries in this five country alliance spy then backdoor channel the information back to the US---circumventing the law.

It should be perfectly legal to lie to the FBI. Just like it’s legal to lie to cops. Besides they lie to witnesses/suspects daily. The burden of proof lies on them not the person being investigated. Lying should only be a crime when under oath.

I believe otherwise leads to losing faith and credibility in the FBI which is exactly what’s happening.
