Here's my G19-size P80...

Non-OEM parts :
Polymer 80 frame
Brownells slide
KKM barrel
Overwatch TAC trigger
Wolff RP safety plunger spring
LWD safety plunger
LWD channel liner
Wolff 4lb striker spring
DelTac trapezoid slide lock lever
Steel City magwell....made for the P80 G19....not adapted

Noteworthy parts :
Standard length OEM mag catch (extended not needed on this frame)
OEM "Dot" connector (performance similar to OEM "Minus" connector)
OEM 5lb trigger spring (why mess with success)
OEM standard slide stop lever (like)
OEM RSA (requires less clearance)

Trigger performance :
Reduced reach (LOP)
Very short take-up
Defined wall
Average pull weight is 2lb - 4oz
Very short reset
I like it there for a range gun, but I would bump it up to 4lb+ for a SD gun

ETA:
These are 80% complete frames and are shipped to your mailbox.
You mill/cut four tabs on the top of the frame, cut out a bulkhead inside the frame and drill 3 (6) holes.

thats a pretty cool pistol DD...

is there actually any differences than just doing all the upgrades to a standard Glock, vs building it yourself, not counting price?

can you get more accuracy?

The big thing of course is that there is no serial number.
No 4473 form required.
CA has already banned them and Polymer 80 had to create a "serialized" line for the CA market.
The other thing is ergonomics.
Glock has a 22 degree grip angle.
P80 has an 18 degree grip angle which is similar to 1911 and it's a slimmer grip.

Accuracy is a function of barrel quality and also the lock-up.
Quality Glock aftermarket drop-in barrels must be easy to manufacture because there are a lot of them.
That KKM from Carson City is one of the standouts and they are moderately priced.
There are only a couple of barrel makers doing hand fitting on Glock barrels.

Nice build. They make those 80 lowers in a 10mm?

Yes, they just released them.
The model PF45 is the Polymer 80 large frame lower.
The problem is finding a large frame slide.
Used G20/G21 slides are scarce and expensive.
You could do 45ACP 45 Super 460 Rowland 10mm or 9x25 Dillon.

The best hope is that Lone Wolf Distributors will resume production of their aftermarket large frame slides.

https://www.polymer80.com/media/wysiwyg/...s_-_AB_Edit.pdf

There are several ways to deal with the frame prep.
You don't need a mill or drill press.
I used a flush-cutting end nipper, cordless drill, hand files and a sanding block made from a 3/4" x 8" piece of glass.

Fastcap flush cutting end nipper

that G20 is exactly the type of pistol i want to get the next time around... i did shoot the Army RSO's G21-C, but i was actually thinking with the slits in the barrel at around the 2/3 mark, doesnt the bullet lose speed?

your comp on the end, removes that factor...

i did like the looks of the 2 slots in the top of the slide tho, but it also throws gas half way down the pistol, vs yours is out the front of it...

very nice DD...

The G20 is not mine...just a stolen pic from the interwebz.
The factory compensated Glocks are sucky, IMO.
I don't think G20 needs a comp...I have a factory G20.
It is a sweet shooter.

Now 9x25 Dillon...that one might need a comp.

9x25 Dillon Flameshow

Wouldn't it be fun to light that up while the RSO was waddling around ?

Like Nick, you might have pushed me into a 10mm parts search and build ! My model 19 wife just gave me the nod for the 10mm bear protection !

Sweeet rainy daze, I may get both the 6.5 Grendel Pistol, and a new 10mm for some fall hikes in the woods.

Thanks
It's just brutal trying to find a large frame Glock slide right now without your wallet getting butt-raped.
Hopefully a mfr. or two will step up and start a large frame slide program.

I have the original P80, actually 2 of them. Went 9mm on mine.

The next step I made was making a milling box for ar9,AR10, ar15 receivers. Building a few AR pistols in .45acp and 10mm.

Milling an AR lower

Nice !

My P80 (G19 clone) is getting to be my favorite pistol.
Mastering the Glock trigger is challeging IMO, but the groups are closing up.
Here's a 50 foot target, two-handed...
