Fished it yesterday at barrier, buddy got two summer fish. One had some kind of growth on its side that looked like silly putty?

Also saw a nice teener native hen in the bushes; gutted for the eggs...Sad.

Didn't see anyone else get anything, lots of salmon jumping around.

Fished the Cowlitz yesturday also at Blue Creek. Fishing is still pretty hit and miss. Saw about a dozen fish picked up from the boat. Saw alot fish being caught at Blue Creek and also on Anderson Bar across from Blue Creek. I think the bankers did better then the boaters did yesturday. Define that oxymoron "wild fish in the Cowlitz"....I've never seen a fish released there ,because it wasn't clipped.?????

Yes There are in march but they don't come up as far as Blue Creek

I knew someone would have to pipe up about the wild fish part.

I didn't just fall off a turnip truck, It was a hen aprox. 13-15 pound (kind of dried out so hard to say exactly. all fins intact and didn't have the overall standard hatchery punched out look to it........looked like a wild fish.

I could be wrong, I said the same thing when I first saw it.

Or maybe, I'm just a dumb ass.

I have caught native steelhead in the cowlitz of course they got there picture taken and released. They are in there. I was happy to see there are some left. It was in the lower river.

just got back from the cowlitz,rivers up,fish are'nt biting.fished just below blue creek saw 3 fish caught all morning.better days ahead. scott
