Fished the Stilly, the Cascade, the Nooksack, and the Skagit last weekend and ended up with a three silvers, seven chum, and a couple of dollies, but no steelhead. Every bite I got sent my heartrate through the roof, followed shortly by that sinking feeling that the jerk on the other end of the line wasn't as big as me.

Is this some curse by the fishgods for killing so many salmon in the past?
