Bill Buckner bucked the ball today. Dead at 69. Poor fella never lived it down.

I read Iacocca's book about Chrysler. It was a good read. I think he became a bit egotistical, but then, he got sh!t done, so he earned it. RIP

Victim of bad youth, HS coaching and parenting. He should have never been a QB. There are lots of huge, athletic, strong guys that can huck a football. Doesn't mean they should play QB. As with all youth football, most coaches put the unstoppable kid at QB or RB. Somebody a long time ago should have told him "look kid, yeah you can toss it, but you are going to be a TE or DE". Instead of fighting his size and weight, he could have been allowed to grow into his frame.

Yeah I was reading some pop up about him. Let himself get out of shape. Bad on the kidneys.

RP was definitely ahead of his time in a number of ways. His platform was pretty solid across the board and I think he'd be considered an ultra-centrist today. He had some very left and very right views. He'd be impotent in today's hard left and right society, as all centrists today are.

I love my dogs, and apparently Freddie Mack's dogs loved him...

https://www.apnews.com/1a1caeea67f84a328f7c979fb30b70a4

This incident leaves so many questions unanswered:

Is this environmentally more responsible than cremation or composting?

Wouldn't a roll of dog waste bags be considerably cheaper than a coffin or urn? Assuming you weren't buying the bags at a funeral home.

What's worse...being consumed by your canine companions, or drowning while innertubing with your pet pig? The latter example actually happened in WA this weekend.

Three dogs were adopted out; if a dog's tasted Mack, will it ever go back?

Do you really want to be a crime scene investigator?

If Mr. Mack had already expired before he became dog nutrients, maybe the horror of this story is that the animals had to consume their owner, and then several of their own to survive...kind of a Donner Party story for dogs.
