After a 12 yr marriage and 4 kids my wife left me as a full-time single dad of 4 (ages 3 - 12) Had an awesome time raising my kids with fishing, camping, hiking, skiing, etc. Once I got back to wanting a partner I went online and had great success. Three ~1yr relationships that were valuable in and of themselves with the last one resulting in a 12 yr and still going great marriage. You got to do some data mining online to be successful. Don't even look at the pics until you've narrowed down your criteria. (eliminates falling for a crazy hottie) There are some amazing women out there but they're not hanging out in bars or dingy back-rooms of fishing sites. They're raising their kids (little league games & grocery stores) working their careers (responsible & paying bills) and wondering where the aforementioned decent guys are.

Online dating sucks. Man up and go talk to them. You have to GET them. The good ones wont come up to you. Internet dating takes away the dynamics of attraction,pheromones,and truly sizing her up. I know crazy when I see it. I cant see crazy from a profile . Maybe via text but it's unlikely. Then I can evaluate if shes good crazy or bad crazy. My mom is good crazy. My sister is bad crazy. Just as an example. Basically I'm in control of what I allow in my life.

if you have trouble, you need to figure yourself out...

The good thing about online dating is the pool is big enough you can custom order to spec and then start looking at the attraction side of it. The hottie at the bar may not want kids, or has kids, or hates killing animals, or is an atheist, or whatever. If you're looking for long term starting with a pool that meets the basic qualifications of your life gives you confidence that you're not wasting time on something that just won't work. Compromise is great once you're committed. Before you even start dating is the time to be picky. Anyway - that's how it worked for me.
