I found an overlooked stash of 70% Isopropyl the other day. My first reaction was to grab several bottles, then I thought that I don't need that much and the next person might need it a lot more than I do. So I bought two bottles and left the rest. Small decisions like that can add up in the long run and we are in this for the long run....so....balance....

Very few go buy 12 bags of TP and 30 bags of flour. What we are seeing is the cumulative effect of people preparing for the worst impact the supply chains.
This isnt a normal time, so people arent normally buying things. They shouldt be normally buying things either.
You should have 2-3 months of food in your cupboard right now if you can. A lot of people didnt, just wised up to the world, were in denial up until this week about where this was headed, and now there is a rush to the stores.
Stores are now limiting entry to maintain social distancing, and rationing exisiting supplies.

Queues to get into grocery stores have started, but you aint seen anything yet.

My goal was to avoid all that altogether, and we added to our existing stashes so we dont need to leave the house now, for any reason, for three months or more if needed.

......Or the stupid fvckin media is great at making irrational idiots more irrational and panicking during something as simple as the common cold/flu( hi Toff). I'd love to see what happens if we actually got attacked by another country. Riots, mass chaos, basically the Rich G's of the world f'ing it up for everyone.

I easily have three months of food in the house, but that is after zero panic buying the last few weeks.

My girl has gone shopping a couple of times to pick up some fresh vegetables and cat food lately, but I seriously went to Costco on Saturday and bought two half gallons of bourbon, two cases of beer, and three bags of chips.

The rest is fish and game and veggies from throughout the year.

On that note...I always find it stupid and childish to post glory shots of guns sitting around, and yapping about how many bullets people have...there is literally zero reason for that, other than to show that you have the intellect of a 12 year old.

When shitt is going bonkers like it is now, I find it even more stupid.

Some folks are seeing 5 - 7 day waiting periods for food delivery. Lots of food online is sold out. Amazon needs 100K new warehouse workers to keep up. They've stopped stocking many regular non-essential products to make way for more essential products. I wouldn't doubt it if the Feds made Amazon their defacto distribution center.
