Speaking of cruise ship fun....earned a reward trip for sales which was a week long cruise from Rome down to Naples around the tip of Italy back up to Venice. Fourth night, I'm taking a shower before dinner and I'm bouncing back and forth against the walls due to rough seas. Got so rough they couldn't serve dinner. Could hear dishes breaking all over the ship. I puked and tried to sleep, but was sliding all over the bed. The captain apologized the next morning.....he broke the ship's stabilizers too.
We went to port later that morning and once on land, I got dizzy again....until I started drinking. Good times.

It sounds absolutely ghastly. The second thing would be a tour bus like some guy who was bragging to me about a trip he took to France. He was all proud. Said he met some nice folks,he and his wife. On a BUS. No thanks. Rented a car in the Pyrenees and almost killed it on the 3rd day

The ship is being brought into a non-standard port (Military I assume) and all passengers will be offloaded and quarantined on a base somewhere. The crew (1100 people) will stay on the ship.

I read it as they have the resources to be able to treat the patients that test positive for however long it takes, even for months.

I know the days run together when your "job" is making sure no one steals the couch and occasionally leaving the trailer park to cash someone else's Socialist disability checks, but shockingly, January was indeed months ago...and Coronavirus has been on the radar since November, which also was "months" ago.
