L.p. In Thurton's defense, it is the seat of Gubmint. They (legislature, Supreme Court, Gov, agencies) are all payed by taxpayer funds. We kinda all should be paying for Thurston County. And as I said above, I don't have a problem making sure all of our counties, and all of our citizens, have the infrastructure necessary to live and work, and if the places that generate all of the tax money we need subsidize the counties that aren't able to do that, I have no problem with that,either...all of it is all of our state. I just get sick of the right wing whiners who are the actual Socialists bitching about those damn libruhls that are paying their way. They sound like 13 year olds bitching about having to live under such tyranny while having their home, food, clothing, etc., paid for by those damn tyrants. The more liberal and Democratic your city/county is, the more likely it is you are paying into the system that takes care of everyone, and the more Republican/conservative your city/county is, the more likely it is that you are on the receiving end of those tax dollars. Same thing goes nationally...those damn libruhls in California, New York, New Jersey, Washington...they're paying for all those fuckkhead rednecks bitching about Socialism in the south and thru the middle of the country. Just like with sullen teenagers...they want to bitch, send them a bill and let them buy their right to bitch about it. Fish on... Todd Sound Todd, I read the links you posted. Turns out, socialism is not based on 'fair' redistribution of wealth. It is redistributed by the whims of mostly corrupt government officials. Since there is no perfect system, I vote for the system that cost effectively provides the most hookers and blow. While I won't partake in either the hookers or blow, that's the system that seems like the most fun. It's always about fun. That's why nobody wants to live in Russia.

I gotta say...I could watch that Hill Dawg .gif all day. It's sooooooooo frickin' funny to me and I don't know why. I'm dying laughing here and I've seen it a million times.

A couple of those dams are owned by counties (not Stevens), but all were built with federal dollars, not local dollars...it's more Socialism, only for farmers.
How well do you think Stevens County's already meager tax receipts would be without Lake Roosevelt? Think you need taking care of now, let's remove the tourist dollars, too...dollars that also come from out of the area.
