What's the back story? I'll go first. Mine was taken on a Northern California stream in January of some year way back, when I made my last attempt at growing my hair longer lol. I was just getting into fishing pink worms on a regular basis and had begun having real success with them, so it must have been 15 years ago? 17? Anyway,I walk up to this hole,it's kind of the first major resting spot for these fish coming from tidewater, and there were about 10 guys fishing . I guess nobody had touched a thing and after 20 minutes and seeing a couple fish roll I decided to go big or go home,so I cut off my pink pearl corkie and yarn(above a certain point it is artificials only . I tied on a pink berkely power worm and slid a chartreuse and pink spin and glo above it with a bead. So this dude says "those things work huh" and I reply "fkn A they do!" and tossed it into the main seam just above where I saw a fish roll. It hammered it and I tied into that chrome hen . That fish kicked my ass all over the hole, and I was winded and my buddy Fred was taking too long to take the pic so I was chastising him to hurry so I could get the fish back in the water, hence my facial expression. Another day where I was the hero .

Nice story and nice feesh.
Mine's pretty simple. The Denver Donks have been known to crap rainbows and then rub their butt all over the NFL's carpet. BAD DENVER! BAD!
Or something like that.

I was going to say mine was my wife and I at Fantasy Fest in Key West a couple years ago. But it looks like I never added it to this site.
I attached it soon.

I attached it soon. Fantasy Fest eh? You naughty, dirty, party boy. Nice family event, lots of interesting costumes, although some costumes were hard to see. It got mellower and tamer with more restrictions as time went on. Stayed on Duval Street at the Crown Plaza, right in the center of all the entertainment. We went every year for a while.

Sister was head bartender at Sloppy's for like 15 - 20 years. If you ever went across the street for a drink, she probably served you. Old Fantasy Fest was best Fantasy Fest. It was so awful. I loved it.

That was a totally different time, not much social distancing going on, but they did wear masks.
My wife was in a couple of the promotional pics for the event, just happened to be where the photographer was. Only one where you could actually identify her, the others she had a mask on.
I think they're still on the website

Fighting a native summer steelhead on the fly. It went about 10 pounds, bright as can be, and did not have a scale out of place. Put up quite the battle as well.

My avatar is a Skagit buck from CnR season 2009. It was taped and supposedly 18#. It fought like hell and took line like hell which a big mean fish can do on a river as wide as the Skagit. It sounds stupid if you don’t fly fish but it was a hell of a cast and the line layed out perfect to get the fly to drop a little bit behind a boulder way the hell out there and get in that fish’s face. I remember thinking “that was a perfect cast to get the right drift!” right before he latched on, which never happens to me, usually I get fish on random cast. The fish is also memorable because I was using one of my older Hardy reels and they really are a blast with a fish like that. The fish is also memorable because I don’t really fly fish anymore, I found the average fly fisherman to be insufferable and decided to move on from the scene. I was never an exclusive fly fishing only type and grew up gear fishing a lot and it is that exclusive fly only culture that really grinds my gears. In the end fly fishing is fun, but too limited in a world of diminishing everything.
