Got an antibody test set up for Tuesday with my primary Doc. Odd to type this but I am hoping I had a deadly virus back in January!

So, when is this schit going to open back up? Do we continue to jeopardise millions of Americans freedoms and financial well being, which leads to all kinds of problems? At some point the scales will tip. The f'ing hysteria behind this [Bleeeeep!] is unreal.
Do we risk having the Virus blow back up by prematurely resuming life as usual?
This never turned into NapD's forehead marking apocalyptic fvckin hoedown which is great, so what Do the great minds of the DS think needs to be done moving foreward?

One of two things need to happen, testing we need to know who has it, who's had it and who's immune to the virus. Or there needs to be a vaccine.

It did in Italy and we damn near got there in NYC. I cheered when the ACOE tore down the Century Link field hospital and sent it packing. It could still come back around with a vengeance and we are not outta the woods yet, but things look really encouraging and we should thank our lucky stars. A month ago I thought we were goners for sure, now not so much. Still, 35K+ dead people in a month is really not a great thing. I think we should hold the lockdown until May 4th and then slowly re-open more essential services for a month (things like regular health care, barbers / hairdressers, government & legal services etc). If all goes well in May, open a next wave in early June (some corp offices, restaurants, retail etc). Repeat through June, July, August until everything it's back open - but build in the opportunity to go in reverse and start locking down again as needed. I do think big gatherings like concerts, sporting events, big bars / venues, fairs, 4th of July and whatnot do need to stay closed for the summer. I hope they don't segregate who can do what by whether or not they've been infected or not, otherwise you are going to start seeing "getting sick" parties of idiot Bookface moms and this chit will never go away. A sickness "Scarlet Letter" is really bad JuJu.

I will add....that whatever is done, it needs to be CLEARLY communicated, socialized and understood by all. People are going nuts with this current lockdown and you'll never get them back into a "Wave 2" lockdown again unless it's built into the plan and there are severe repercussions for noncompliance.
I honestly believe it will be next to impossible to get Americans to play ball with a Wave 2 lockdown. We did it once and that's been enough to basically ruin us. There's no way people will cooperate with a second go around. Americans are basically the Black Knight in the Holy Grail. Tis' merely a flesh wound!

Vanity businesses & services like tanning, nail salons and the like need to be the last to open. Basic hair cuts are one thing and understandable. Spray tanning is not and is shite.
Also....open up fishing soon you cocksuckers!

If our government really wants to put the nation on lockdown it will be interesting to see how many of the plebs revolt. So far this has been met with surprising compliance. I can't imagine that would fly much longer, people will have to do something just to survive ,and when that happens look out.

I can't imagine that would fly much longer, people will have to do something just to survive ,and when that happens look out. Exactly. Society complied ONCE because it was new and scary with tons of unknowns and everyone was generally panicking across the board. When the final Wave 1 death toll comes in way under the first estimations, newly "educated" people are going to squawk and put their foot down for any additional lockdowns. That's where it would get really ugly I think. We'll get to the point where we'll measure dead in one hand and financial ruin in the other and just say fvck it. We are pretty much already there today.
