We are BBQing in no particular order:

Fresh caught cedar plank Columbia Sockeye
Freshly harvested Oysters
BEAUTIFUL T-Bone steaks from the cow I just slaughtered
Garlic bread

Sides:
Pasta Salad
Smoked Spring Salmon Dip
Asparagus
Home made Honey-Crisp Bourbon Infused Apple Pie
My wife's killer serrano deviled eggs

and while it doesn't go ON the BBq, the chef (me) will have several tall glasses on Buffalo Trace in his hand.
Cant fuking wait!
Have a happy and safe 4th every juan.
And even better with the fireworks ban!

It's been a lot a' years since I could put away the amount of food you described. Not sure what we're doing, but BBQ sockeye sounds good. A friend just got back from AK with a bunch, and he gave me some. We had it a few nights ago, but having it again tomorrow sounds appealing. No pie here, but oh, man! Sure would love some! And a couple neighbors are dependable for keeping us awake well past midnight with their fireworks.

War-Paint...when should I arrive and what type of Boone's Farm can I bring?

Going easy this year. I'm just having a buddy and his kid over for some simple grilling and lighting stuff on fire.

Brats, tater salad, chips, homemade pickle, onion & tomato salad etc.
Pretty basic this year.

The main goal of the evening will be keeping the lab from peeling the paint off my ceilings. I live in the Beruit of Snohomish county, so it's always a chitshow around here until about 2 - 3 am.

As a one time Central Coaster, I get the Tri Tip. But then Skirt Steak screams asada. Tacos and Santa Maria tri tip? Do tell.

Annnnyyyyyy wase
I make the apple pie 100% homemade crust and all
Old school recipe and that is always the hardest yet most fulfilling part of making it. The filling was way easier to figure out. I built my style off a recipe that my great grandma used and went from there. Never a piece left and no bull shcit wip cream needed to cover up a schitty dry crust.

I don't blame you for being angry and I'm sorry the world's current problems have had a significant impact on you and your family.
Like most of the content here, I'm sick of the bullchit also.
Eat well and enjoy your 4th.

It’s nice to not have every thread get schit on from every angle. I plan on spending the morning with the family, going to some shin-digs then getting out on the water for the afternoon/evening bite. Fishing was great today and we boated a 16# and a 17# so we plan on spending the afternoon/evening going after fish then staying on the water for fireworks.

Hope everyone has a great 4th and uses the time with friends and family and to reflect a bit on what has built this country to be as great as it is, and what we can do now amid the chaos and make it an even better place for ALL.

Hells no we are bbqing that skirt steak! Just wat it up. There are a couple places south of Santa Cruz, the Freedom Meat Locker and Corralitos Meat Market that have killer sausage and skirt steak and marinated meats. The meat locker mesquite marinaded skirts are so damn good over hot coals I would put them up against anyone's cooking. SO GOOD! My buddy gave me a couple fat zucchinis to throw on the grill.

Headed to my buddies for the 3rd year now. He has a tradition of a large seafood boil..he's toning it down this year though and only doing 20#'s of king crab in the boil! Last year was 35#'s~ (saved him 5#'s for Labor Day). Chiat load of corn, spuds, sausage, onions, gulf shrimp, etc, plus the king,..well you know the drill

Will be fun.

Happy Independence Day!

Bat wings and Corona Light!

Seriously Angus burgers and hot dogs. Spaghetti salad, potato salad. No fresh caught steelhead or salmon. Fireworks. No streaming Mt Rushmore.
