Loving that it gave a minor boost to my ford stock.

But kinda like it. 2 door base 7 spd manual.

Ford makes garbage. Friend has an F350 with a plastic grill that the laminate peeled off on. They would replace it for 850. With another plastic grill that will fail in a few years. Truck rattles, all cheap plastic. Had an F150 that was a lemon turd.

Remember the 5.0? rofl

Their trucks aren't cheap either, and to have the kind of crappy parts fail is inexcusable, why should you have to put aftermarket parts on a vehicle to make it acceptable?

I drive a Colorado,it's a great little truck. Getting new tires on it as I type this.

I see all the Hype,Ford is making a desperate cash grab to try and salvage their failing company. Lee Iacocca is spinning in his grave.

I dunno...I had a '78 F-150 that had almost 900K miles on it when I donated it to a farm in Puyallup, and the farmer used it for several more years after that.

Other than getting 9mpg, and not being a king cab, that truck was the schit. My old man bought it new in '77, and it ended up being mine ten years later, and I had it for 15 more years after that.

Never rebuilt, very little issues...though it did like to go thru u-joints at a fairly rapid clip, always had a couple in the glove box just in case wink

Fish on...

Not related to just Ford, but WTF is with all these plastic intake manifolds on newer cars. Just waiting to crack. I'd gladly pay a few extra bucks for a cast iron or aluminum intake manifold.

I've had great luck with all my Fords.

Especially the last 7 F-350's.

I like to level them, put a free flowing air filter on them, tires/wheels, and before the 6.7 came out..... chip them.

Love the big drivers window too.
Really lets the air in when I'm mouth breathing.

All of them make my sticker peck out too.

Loved my old 77.
Wish I had it to pass down to junior.

rofl buy em new and trade em in?

Those old Fords were bad ass . I'm talking about the schlock they put out nowadays. A 50,000 dollar truck should never have a plastic grill. F that noise.

Long ago I had a used '73 F-100 with three on the tree. I quickly replaced that with a Hurst floor shifter. Shifted much better but my girlfriend's knees took a lickin.

It only had a 302 but it could still pull my heavyass boat. I drove the shitt out of that thing and it just ran and ran.

I kinda like the new Broncos.

My F-150 had the standard 351w in it, and was a 4-speed...well, really a 3-speed, since 1st gear was a granny gear that rarely ever was used.

And yes, if there was someone in the passenger seat then you committed a sex offense every time you shifted into reverse...that shifter had some reach to it. 4th gear would get their knee, reverse would get'em right in the junk if they were lounging and you weren't paying attention.

Loved that truck, I towed and hauled everything with it, babied it was not.

Fish on...

Same here. Other than points, plugs and condenser, I did no maintenance. I rarely even washed the thing. Turn the key and go.

The new Bronco is going to be the real deal once they get it's first and second year bugs worked out. If you have seen the deeper specs, it's really set up beautifully inside and out. Better than the last FJ and certainly better than any Jeep since forever.

That being said, Ford used to own Land Rover before they sold to Jag / Tata.

This truck is as close to an American styled Defender 90 you'll probably ever see. What you are seeing is pretty much a discount D90. It's not as capable as a true stock D90, but it's looking real good compared to most of the crap put out today.

The fact that it's body-on-frame with a solid rear axle, independent front suspension, oversize wheels & 35" tires WITH A 7 SPEED MANUAL! That's just awesome.

The only thing I wish they'd offer is a V8 in addition to the 2.7 Turbo V-6. Base is a lame arse 2.3 Eco 4-cyl (yuck).

My old D90 had the 5.0 V8 and it absolutely ripped. Should have never sold it. It'd be worth $100 - 150K now.

That being said, I would buy this new Bronco starting year 3. Ford nailed this one.

- Proud owner of a 1996 F-150 XLT with 225K miles that's still going strong

(PS: Arvid - pretty much everything has a plastic grill since the mid-80's - it's not just recent thing or a Ford thing).

Drop in a Ford 5.0L V8 Coyote, 785 HP supercharged crate engine, Fox shocks all around and Detroit Lockers and away you go. Of course, that'll only add another $30K, but whatever. Probably twist the rear end out too, but what's another one?

Where’s my god damn bonefish write up DickN90yr?? Jk.

Apparently, you can’t get the base bigfeets edition with 7spd manual? Sucks. However, Ford actually offering a 7spd in a truck in 2020 is bad ass.

Can’t wait to see what the new F-one fiddy looks like.

My first car was a 74 Camaro. Learned how to drive our 63 1/2 Ford Galaxy and the 74 Chevy truck. My youngest traded in his F150 Eco boost for a Chevy truck.

I used to have a 84 SVO Mustang and a couple of Ford Rangers. Our first family SUV was an Explorer. Even had a Ford Windstar and Ford Escort.

I learned how to drive at age 14 by driving the above-referenced F-150 on logging roads elk hunting as a kid...by the time my actual driver's test came along, it was pretty simple...because driving that truck was not.
