We went to Ocean Shores for the Fourth of July. I have never seen as large of a crowd on the beach. For about a 1/4 mile around the access point, cars were parked up to 6 deep, side by side, with people partying. Driving up and down the beach were idiots with large Trump flags flying from their trucks. We drove down quite a ways from the crowds and got away from it. My wife and I were talking about how if there wasn't a surge in numbers, then they would be right about their belief it was a hoax. It looks like they proved themselves wrong.

While the Right complain about how they can not gather, it apparently just depends on where you go. The police on the beach were doing an awesome job of keeping control, but made no attempt to get people to distance.

So, I guess the couple of hundred demonstrators destroying property downtown Seattle right now missed the memo from Inslee about gatherings of more than 10 people. But news stations are reporting that Inslee is "monitoring" the situation....I guess that's slang for doing nothing. Good work!
