Weird watchIng MLB tonight with a empty stadium, cardboard fans behind behind the plate and piped in fan noise.
Kind of reminds me of the past 17 empty seasons the Mariners have given us.
Hopefully the Kraken can do better as a franchise.
It would be difficult to be worse......
SF I almost couldn't stick with the Giants Dodger game last night,and it wasn't because the Giants absolutely suck right now either. Oh,and as much as I can't stand L.A.,they will be winning a championship at some point. They are STACKED with talent. The cardboard people are creepy. The fake crowd noise is creepy. Hearing the players yell on the field is weird. And the players wearing masks is like watching the twilight zone. Corona be gone. Weirdest year in my lifetime,bar none. Espn has been piping in crowd noise in football games for a few years now. That my good friend is a fact.

Networks better have that 2 - 3 second delay button handy, because all kinds of F bombs and worse are going to be dropped on prime time.

There was a situation in last nights game where the guy missed a freakin cement mixer and he f bombed all the way up to first base. Instead of ignoring it which they should have, the announcers pointed it out. Just stamp a parental guidance and play ball.

To be fair, calling a baseball game without fans has to be just brutal for the average booth guy. So much dead air between pitches and action, that they better get real baseball guys that can go in depth with stories or just high quality entertainers that can keep people engaged with funny banal crap. I picked up the M's game on radio last night and it was like listening to paint dry. Everyone is doing the best they can I suppose. They'll get it figured out and if not, oh well, there are bigger issues in the world today...
