I'm telling ya.... Bobbers and steelhead is simply second best...

Funny part is in my entire life I've never caught a steelhead under a bobber.. Not one.

It's as close to being a bug chucker as one can be, and that's not me...

I caught my first Steelhead under a jig and float on my 2nd cast ever fishing for Steelhead.

Who cares how who fishes how? Like really? Who gives a fvck and to teach his own. Ain't nobody special.

The difference is personality and motive. That's where the real pricks shine.

When I'd grab my jig rod and make a cast out of Keith's sled, he would get this look on his face like that look when you go to get the last cold beer in the fridge, and you find it's not there.

Like, WTF?!?

Dude, that was a fun fun day! I think I'm still stoned... rofl

Yeah, something about just casting out and feeling nothing just troubles me lol...

I love the feel of the drift, the bite, etc....

The good old days, you know I took my daughter up and she managed to cast, feel the bite, hook, land this fish on her own Monday eve. She's reeled them in but now she's hooked...

Then had to take them back up to do it again! I picked up a 6' stick Ugly 8-14lb spinning rod and loaded it with 12 pound stren and she just rips on them! Sorry, Parker... She took your spot!

Dude,I am right there with you. I love drift fishing more than any other method, well, swinging spoons in the right conditions is a close second. But there's nothing like tap ...tap... pause...wham!

There's also some fun and nostalgia for me when I see a bobber go down. Reminds me of catching trout and panfish as kid.

Well, now you've done it - she's going to be after you all the time to go fish, and I bet when she asks, dad is just going to have to say "yes". lol

Some day, we'll have to go drag some guts around again. I was just thinking the other day about those hot days on the NFL and how much fun we had.

It isn't the total product, just the fact that these guys supposedly are out to educate people, yet they don't know how to hold a fishing rod.

BTW Sol Duc when you taking me fishing?

Yeah, we're going camping this weekend and she asked if we could take the fishing rods for steelhead... I picked up a 6 man raft and hardwood floor and have been taking them to some high mountain lakes slaying the rainbows, they love it... The only challenge is they want to kill everyone of them. We were up at a lake by Mt Adams a few weekends ago and no one was catching anything fishing bobbers set at 3-6ft but the fish were suspended about 25-35 feet down so we'd cast and slow troll the bait and were just hammering them..

I stared at that photo for about 5 minutes trying to remember what hole that was, everything has changed a ton in that section but we still smack some fish there..

Parker messaged and was hoping to get down but life with kids, it sure keeps ya busy!
