Seattle idiots have voted for more of the same, Inslee's cock holster.

Bob Ferguson has a history on crime and drugs that cost thousands of lives
Seattle media is also ignoring Ferguson’s broader record.

Ferguson claims he wants to address the region’s crime crisis, though he played a significant role in creating it. Democrats’ legislation banning vehicular pursuits contributed to the surge in car theft, and Ferguson’s support for the Black Lives Matter movement exacerbated the police exodus. His silence on his party’s anti-police, pro-criminal legislative agenda reflects his agreement with it.

Ferguson was a loud voice demanding the state decriminalize drugs in 2021. At the time, KUOW Radio celebrated his stance with a press release masquerading as a report. Since Democrats followed Ferguson’s advice, the state has seen a historic rise in fatal overdoses. It became so bad, that Democrats had to retreat on their position and recriminalize.

Fergie's record on crime is bad indeed. Personally, I'm OK with legalizing drugs. If people want to ruin their lives or kill themselves, who am I to say they shouldn't or can't? Crime, however, is another story. While we need police, police are not enough to combat crime. Police tell us that 90% of crimes are committed by repeat offenders. The most effective way to reduce the rate and number of crimes is to shoot criminals. Self defense should be expanded to include property crimes. That way when someone is trying to steal a car, the owner or his or her friend can legally shoot the thief. That ends the career of that offender who won't repeat offend any longer. Shooting thieves is the best way to reduce the supply of criminals. As the supply of criminals is depleted, the number of crimes will go down dramatically. And criminals who haven't yet been shot may be inclined to rethink their occupational choice. Now just how is this a bad idea?

Glad to see you have a nugget wisdom every once in a while. Maybe you should select the political candidates and party that have the same belief?

Just as soon as a party adopts a platform supporting and adhering to individual and personal freedom and the rule of law. Waiting, . . . waiting, . . . crickets.

I hear you.

At a minimum, support the party that most closely adheres to your philosophy. Hint… it isn’t the Democratic Party.

It has been a long time since either party ran a candidate I could fully support. Becomes a real balancing act weighing their pluses and minuses.

Agreed, but it’s closer than the Democratic Party and the better of the two options.

But again, you claim to be a moderate but under very few (if any actual) circumstances will you ever vote for a Republican.

Streamer,

You got me there. The last R I voted for was the Sec. of State, Kim somebody. I won't vote for an R who is anti-abortion, anti-gay. That's been my line in the sand. And I don't even have a dog in that fight. Rs say they are for less government and less government interference in people's lives -- until they aren't.

Again, this is highly bizarre.

You say you have no dog in this fight (relating to abortion and gay “rights”) yet you say this is where you choose to draw the line in the sand.

The only logical conclusion that can be drawn from this is that you are actually a gay, trans man whose only form of birth control is getting abortions. Otherwise, it wouldn’t make sense these are the two issues where you draw the line in the sand.

I guess it's become popular among conservatives to not concern themselves with the rights of anyone but themselves. How Trumpian.

In a huge step forward for sanity....

US House Speaker Mike Johnson has backed plans to ban transgender women from using female bathrooms on Capitol Hill.

“Women deserve women’s only spaces,” Johnson said in a statement on Wednesday. He said the new rule would be enforceable in the Capitol and in House office buildings.

It comes after his Republican colleague, Representative Nancy Mace, introduced a bill to enact a ban following the election of Sarah McBride, the first-ever openly transgender lawmaker.

In a statement, McBride said she was not elected "to fight about bathrooms".

I'm not a MAGA but more centrist conservative. Not that anyone cares about my POV ha. To be clear, I don't hate trans people or the LGBT community. But allowing trans folks access to the crapper that doesn't align with their biological sex in the name of a specific agenda is wrong. I don't think you'll find many women that are ok with some dude pinching one off in the next stall or hanging out the johnson for a piss. That goes double for dudes in women's sports. If you don't understand the MAGA anger, and simply write them off as racially or hate motivated, you are being disingenuous. MAGA is a direct reaction to such woke nonsense. I bet if you asked most, they are more tolerant of the LGBT and trans community that you think. Of course, there are plenty of racists and haters in the MAGA movement...just like the there are among the woke socialist elitists lol

That isn’t the point Beezus… I mean Salmo. It isn’t about not concerning yourself with the rights of others, rather prioritizing the concerns of others before yourself at the expense of your own interests. I like rights for everyone. As asked before, what rights do straight people have that gays don’t have?

As far as the abortion issue, most people aren’t against abortions completely. Most people (such as Reichert and Trump) have proven to not be anti-abortion, only in favor of not allowing them to occur past the point of viability and in late term. This has clearly been laid out in previous threads but can’t resonate with you.

Your bias against Republicans and Conservatives seems to cloud your judgment and ability to see this. I’m really beginning to think you are a gay, trans man who uses abortions as a primary means of birth control, thus your bizarre pre-occupation with abortions and gays.
