Being one who generally leans to the conservative side in my political
views, there were a few things Trump talked about back in '16 that I
felt would make a difference for the average Joe..

But then, as I saw more and more speeches on TV, all I kept thinking
every time I heard him talk was "What an asshole!", and then I'd
change the channel.

Honestly, I'd just like to see the dude go away, and an impeachment
trial is just going to drag his ass right back into the spotlight. Plus,
it wouldn't do anything to help the American people..but it would
cost a lot of our tax dollars that could instead go to much more
critical issues.

It's not about getting rid of him, it's holding him accountable, something 70 million Americans don't feel is necessary.
The rest of America is tired of the President and his goons being above the law.
This is about accountability.

The punishment of not being able to hold office is necessary, especially since he seems to believe he is still President. People, on all sides, must be held accountable.

A lot more time and money has been wasted cleaning up the Capitol damage left by Trump's deplorables, and having to deploy tens of thousands of National Guardsmen and police. None of it, including the loss of life, would have happened if Trump had accepted reality and not yelled, "FRAUD!", non-stop since before the election.

If the shoe were on the other foot, Republicans would now be preparing for the "Greatest Show On Earth" impeachment. Actually, the trial would have already started, and they would have no concern about it being unconstitutional.

He may be found innocent, but it will be the OJ Simpson kind of "innocent". When the evidence is presented, he will be guilty in the eyes of the American public 'til the day he dies. Trump has no defense, other than a process defense. Why do you think his entire team of lawyers quit?

He may be found "Not Guilty" which if different from innocent. Seems to me the GOP conduction month and months of hearings on Benghazi, emails, blow jobs, and who knows what else. Those are bigger crimes than insurrection?? Just asking.
