No matter how you look at this impeachment, it is already tainted. I have not heard one source even giving hope that a democrat would vote not guilty, and not one that has not been counting which republicans are open to voting guilty. It is pretty disgusting that both sides take an oath to be impartial, but by everything I have seen, about 90% or more of them have made up their mind before the trial. It would be really nice if they could at least fake it.

Kathy McMorris Rogers (Republican Representative from Eastern WA) has been interviewed by a Spokane reporter, it will air in full tomorrow.
From the teaser clips it appears they asked her some difficult questions about her support for Trump and how she feels about his presidency. Her responses were poor at best, hesitating and looking down.
I have no idea how much it was edited to look this way.
I'll be watching.

Yeah they give presidents the right to legal representation. Most legal experts agree that impeachment is constitutional after leaving office. The powers of the House and Senate for impeachment are spelled out in the Constitution. Trump's lawyers are attacking the process and ignoring the facts. I like the old English law that ends with execution following conviction.

for Trump the first time around. He talked a good story, but then became

On a hundred point scale, I'd bet that 90% of Americans fall within +/- 15
points of the middle. The far right, and far left seems to be where all the
problems are coming from.

It's been a rather impressive lineup of Representatives presenting evidence against Trump.
No top secret investigations to find evidence, just showing the timeline of Trump tweets and speeches leading up to January 6th.
Much the evidence was new to me, and considerably worse for Trump than what I had been aware of before.
Many Republican Senators have been sitting back with their feet up on their desks and reading other stuff to show they are purposely ignoring what's being said.

The new security footage being released is rather disturbing. It shows just how close the mob was to achieving their goal of capturing Pence and members of Congress.
Also more audio of what the mob was saying while searching the capital. Being nice and polite was not part of the game plan.

"Section 3 of the 14th Amendment provides an alternative path for disqualification.

The defense is using some odd tactics.
We are going to show you things the Dems prepared, but didn't show you because they weren't accurate.
We don't think some of the things the Dems did showed you were accurate. But didn't present any examples.
Then showed news clips of Trump the Dems used, but continued on where the Dems cut them off, all it showed was Trump doubling down on threats.
There were clips of Dems making comments about fighting, mostly fighting legislation, but edited to just show them saying "fight".
