So...back to the point of this thread...

The main reason that millions in Texas are without power is not wind, or solar, which amount to very little of their power, relatively speaking.

Their natural gas lines are frozen, and inoperable, and that's what creates a goodly portion of their electricity.

No natural gas, no electricity.

This is the direct consequence of lack of infrastructure to support their electricity generation, and this is the direct consequence of privatizing electricity and leaving it to the energy companies to take all those savings and make sure their schit works.

The other state that did this? California also deregulated electricity, and that's when Enron manipulated the supply to run up the prices and failed miserably at doing their job.

I still think that the feds need to give Texas disaster relief money to take care of the citizens who are getting fukked here, but the energy companies that are the direct cause of this disaster should be sued into the fuckin ground to get every penny of it back.

This right wing Socialism is draining our country dry.

Why is it your posts and opinions are backed up by research, facts, and in-depth explanations of the actual problem.

I saw a picture today of a highway that forms the border between Arkansas and Texas...the Texas side is covered in snow, and dark businesses with no power.

The other side of the jersey barrier has the highway completely plowed and cleared of snow, full of cars, with lit up operating businesses all down the side.
