Huh. The White House immediately cut Biden's feed yesterday after he said he would take questions.
I wonder why? Huh. Sort of like Nick’s House cutting the feed everytime he’s asked about the sister wives. And baby makin. Huh. Yeah...no. There's my response. No feed cut.

Gas prices are headed for the moon
Really? Seriously, what year did they start going up? Does it have something to do with this? "The coronavirus pandemic prompted a big fall in oil demand and gasoline prices, due to declines in driving and air travel. As the economy has slowly rebounded, growing demand has boosted prices at the pump." Damn Biden!!! And thanks, Obama. stock markets gonna be a lawn dart
What's a lawn dart got to do with the stock market? Just curious. I have have money in the stock market that I'd rather not lose over the long term. Then you have the BBG's of the Climate Change... Lord have mercy for the next generation. What? Have you had your coffee yet today? What's gonna happen to the next gen if people try to slow global warming?

EDIT: DBS beat me too it, for the most part. Gas prices are headed for the moon, stock markets gonna be a lawn dart and inflation again is headed in the wrong direction. Of course none of what you mentioned can be directly pointed towards the sitting president. We all know that gas prices are a reflection of production and you can thank Texas for that. Oil prices are a reflection of the global market, not the US President. The stock market doesn't care two sh!ts who is in office. I recommend you give up day trading if you really believe otherwise. Too early for anything that Biden has or hasn't done to point which direction our inflation does. That wave will take a couple of years to build or recess. I can't even say "Good Try", as it wasn't. Sorry man, but your post was truly lame as fvck. Almost as bad as Too Many Day Drinkers. -4 stars. Lord have mercy for the next generation. Sorry, but Trump already screwed up the chances and hopes of a better world for that generation. Got anything else?

Watching right wing fake news purveyors whine about gas prices shows just how little they know about, well, anything...but especially the "free market".
Demand dropped out when the pandemic hit, and if you remember, the price of a barrel of oil actually dropped to below zero for a while...due to low demand, and high supply.
They shut down supply, and now the economy is opening back up...and demand is going up.
You have to be an absolute fuckin moron to think any President, Trump or Biden, has anything to do with that.
Fish on...

Todd Covid is the main player no doubt, but changing drilling regulations, policy support for electric vehicles, a different approach on foreign policy and increasing shale production costs certainly will weigh in at the pump... But in the interim, we're not seeing much from what the administration has done..... Yet..... Keith

Yeah gave up fishing a long time ago, got into chucking bugs. Doing my thing to fit in with the left side...
Wait? Whaaaaa? You? A bug chucker? Like Fairy Wand flinging kinda chucking bugs? Like becoming a member of Fraternal Ascot Group? We talking "start smoking a lot of dope, move to Montana, become a entomologist, and nymph 99% of the time for trouts waiting for 3-seconds per evening where there might be an evening hatch and hence a dry fly" kinda bug chucker? Or, maybe the "I've not only found Jesus, but want to look like him on the river and swing flies on the Hoh, in the holiest of holiest holding waters for that ALLMIGHTY steelhead...if that river was in Canada and you were fishing for a summer run" kinda bug chucker? Well, if that's the case, good for you. Way to get out of the bait closet. I've got a nice spey rod you should buy. It's only caught one 30lb. steelhead on it. I'm sure it's good for at least one more. At least that is what the salesmen told me when I bought it.

None of these changes you're talking about are going to affect current prices at the pump. That's nonsense that only someone like Evo or Sean Hannity would try to peddle as factual. Who has ever seen gas prices go up for the summer driving season? Everyfuckingbody, that's who. You guys are just all hunched up because Biden's polling higher than Trump ever did. That's because Trump's a complete piece of sh!t and Biden is a little less of a piece of sh!t.

Regarding oil prices; prior to last March, domestic production had been on a positive swing for several years, with the price over $45/barrel (which is over the break-even point for the US Shale industry). Globally, oil consumption was decreasing; most significantly in China starting in late January and February, with all signs pointing to the China Flu.
In late February 2020, the Russians broke stride from their 2016 alliance with Opec. This agreement had both entities agreeing to share in production cuts to control/manipulate the price of oil. BUT, since 2016 (or before, I just know since when I became somewhat versed in the biz) the US Shale Industry was profitable and producing oil domestically, therefore Opec/Russians weren't dictating the US oil market. BUT, China became the #1 oil consumer along about 2016, so those 3 were busy trying to all 3 screw each other.
OK..back to late February. As I mentioned, the Russians wanted more of the market share. Therefore they gambled that by upping production, the global price would drop, making the US Shale Industry non-competitive! Which would work, but it really pissed-off their Opec partners. In early March 2020..Opec and Russia have a Pow-Wow to try to get back on the same team. The Arabs try to rein-in their "comrade" but they don't receive any confirmation from the Russian's that they want to play nice. So...the Arabs take off the gloves, open the valves, and let the juices flow! We didn't see oil production like that in over 30 years! The bottom fell out of the domestic market (and the world too)! By mid/late-March, one day I said on my morning conference call to the office in Colorado, "a bunch of Texas billionaires, woke up millionaires today"! Almost all planned expansion and new infastructure projects were halted for domestic oil production immediately.
The Russian's/Opec succeeded in tripping the breaker on the US Shale Industry, that's for sure! Domestically, Covid didn't have much to do with it, IMO. I just remarked on another thread how diesel has increased over $1 in less than 2 months locally (very close to a 50% increase). It's not summer and Covid hasn't changed that significantly that I'm aware of? I'm not in the petroleum industry anymore so I'm not sure why, but my first thought was the change in the political party?

Maybe my private oil stock will rebound. Went down in value like 50% last year. I tried to sell it back but could only do so in the 1st quarter.

I know right wing talking points and facts don't often go together, but here are a few we can try and fit into the narrative... First is a shot of oil production in the USA over the last many years...you can see how Obama hated America and only increased production about 100%...then you can see how Trump saved America by increasing it about 75%, at its peak... The most interesting part is how Sleepy Joe managed to reach all the way back to early 2020 and use his policies to cause production to plummet about 30%...for being so sleep, he's pretty effective, even for a full year before he was elected. The second shot is retail diesel prices in the US...you can see how Biden managed to cause it to go up in price thru the entire Trump presidency...until, shockingly, early 2020 when the bottom fell out, just like with oil production. Demand disappeared in Q2 2020, and it's just now coming back...demand goes up, price goes up. When there is a simple, easy, and obviously correct answer to your question, but you still need to do a bunch of make-up-facts and mental gymnastics to explain your conspiracy theory...well, maybe you're wrong. Fish on... Todd

When Trump opened up oil exploration in AK and tried to auction off leases at the end of last year, there was little interest from the oil industry. It was a non event.
It was seen by Trump as an opportunity to stab at the libs on the way out.
