One line you should all try for spinning reels is the Stren Magna-thin. I've tried them all but the new maxima perfection or whatever its called and with the magna-thin I use the 12# with 8 pound ultragreen leaders. It's also the diameter of 8# test. I use it on my Loomis 1141 and you can pull so hard you are bending at the bottom of the cork. A 8# ultragreen leader will break before it does also, and not to mention it does cast like a dream on spinning reels. Of all the lines I have tried it has the least memory of all. I use it in the moss green color, and have never had a problem with it spooking fish. I will tell you one thing for sure and that is I use one thing on my levelwinds and that is maxima ultragreen because it certainly ranks the best in my mind for the levelwinds.

My .02 on the subject. Tried the Maxima Ultragreen for the first time yesterday, spooled both my baitcaster and spinning reel with 12 lb. Works great on the baitcaster but I can't change it out fast enough off of the spinning reel, it did nothing but explode constantly off the reel. The guys I was fishing with said that it does not work well in cold weather, stays to stiff. Glad to see this thread, working on the bobber and jigs for steelhead and am looking for a line that will cast and mend well. Does anyone use or have experiance with Trilene XL on a spinner???
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff

I love the ultra-green for my baitcasters but the perfexion is the way to go on a spinning reel.
