Anyone fish the North/Central sound for blackmouth yesterday? Was going to hit it today but was discouraged by the notion that my trailered boat may pass me on the freeway after hitting ice. Always tough to tell what it will be like on the opener, so curious as to how folks did.

Good fishing yesterday, area 7. Not the best conditions, but all in all, quite good.

Left at 0500 for Manchester...roads were very slick, state patrol were very busy people this morning. Our destination was worst than I'd expected the ramp was very slick until someone brought some road salt which made things go much faster as there were lots of boats (derby time).
On the water at 0645...1st fish came on at 0720 (60 ft. on a spoon) 2nd fish at 0900 (100 ft. on flasher/squid combo). Marking most fish at between 90 & 100 ft. once daylight came on. Both fish appx. 9 lbs and chrome bright. ><> ><>

I went out on Sunday to Hat Island and across to Whidbey by the Clinton/Mukilteo Ferry. Just caught 1 shaker down 45' with a flasher and squid. Didn't see many nets out.

Fished south of Hat Island today... did not see a single net out (came in early, got really choppy....) I was really dissapointed considering all the hype i've been reading about how awesome the fishing was going to be around hat island....

Fished south sound yesterday...lots of fish caught! Boated an 8 lb after 10 minutes... then a 12 pounder.... (had it for supper tonight...very very fine!)

Fished the racetrack between Hat Island and Camano on Sunday morning. Started at 7am, first fish at 7:05, second at7:15, and third at 7:20. We were back in Everett putting the boat on the trailer at 7:45am!!!! Flasher with a coyote spoon was the ticket at 110-115 feet. Lots of bait and fish were graffed in our short trip. Good Luck!

We fished Posession Sunday morning, got two about 5-6 lbs., didn't see much else or too much bait. I heard or a 12 and a 16 being taken. Our fish were caught on 4" silver horde plug, keeps the smaller fish off.
