I fished Elliot Bay with my boys on Saturday. It was a beautiful day on the water, flat as a millpond, but no fish, not even a shaker. Fished in front of Todd's Shipyard and on into the middle of the bay. The fish cheker said 1 in 3 boats were getting fish, all over at Blakely Rock. Has anyone had any success over there or other areas in Puget Sound?

I was at Elliot Bay on Saturday too, (White inboard Weldcraft 20' sled "Fish 4 Fun" on back cooler) the fish checker had seen only 2 fish out of Elliot Bay all day. We were lucky enough to have had the 2nd fish that he had seen for the day from there. Nice 28" fish taken just East of the Dry Docks in 140 feet of water. Red Hot Spot and a Army Truck Coyote spoon. Word on the bay is the fish pulled out about the middle of last week. I think the bait left and the fish followed. We had a fish a week ago from the bay with a Pile Pearch in his stomach. Time to start looking North think.

You guys are right about Elliot, it was hot but started getting tough about a week ago. Friday fished the other side (Pt Monroe, Jeff Head, etc) and also fish were scarce. Talked to a buddy today that has moved his effort up north of Kingston and was back into the fish this weekend. Outlaw, that fish I picked up in Elliot 3 weeks ago was 15 1/2 lbs, did you give that deep water a try?

Chaps, thanks for the tip that day. I got one out of the deep water a couple weeks ago that was right at 12 pounds. The bay was good all through the season for me 12 keepers this years since the opener. I wish I could have went more when they were really in there.
