Im looking at upgrading to a sled. Im looking for some input from guys who own or have fished these boats. Tell me the good, bad, and the ugly! What is the preferable engine for a 21' model? Any other Brands to check out? Thanks a bunch......Skeins

What are you going to use it for besides fishing, and what kind of fishing? Models??
I have a Northwest Jetboat made in Pasco and I love it, it is built exceptionally well.

Hey Skeins,
Go over to www.ifish.net, you better have some time, there is a thread called North River boats that is about 450 posts long, some are BS, but just about every concievable thing that can be talked about a sled is in that thread.
Good luck and tight lines, Jeff

Skiens,
Both brands are good. But there are better boats out there. Boice builds a bad ass boat. Wayne Adams of Sea people in Gold Beach Oregon builds a good boat.
With a 21 footer I would go with a small block V8, Like a Vortec 350. Stay away from he sportjet, They dont get the fuel economy that a V8 will give you.
Jetcraft and North rivers quality has went waydown since they started mass producing boats.

I have to admit, the Northwest Jet is the best boat out there. I have the 21 foot signature series and it can do it all. They are very well built and have some well thought out design features you don't find on other boats. It can handle big water or the lake.
