It seems like we have to drive farther and farther to find good fishing these days. If you operate a rig with trailering capability or just drive a standard-sized auto, you know where your fuel costs are heading. I just received an email asking me to participate in a boycott of the nation's two largest oil companies, Mobil and Exxon. The purpose of this proposed action is to create some corporate anxiety, some surplus fuel, and lower gas prices. Can't you just imagine what would happen to the greedy glint in the eyes of the energy boys when bumper stickers started appearing on the nation's highways urging this boycott, or if cut-up credit cards became the bulk of their daily mail. I could easily support this effort. Do you think this plan could work? When gas prices here go over $2.00 a gallon, with no limit in sight, whatcha gonna do?

Personally I don’t think it will work. Just outside Tri Cities there’s a large tank farm owned by the big guy’s. If you we’re to sit in front of it the number of independent truck lines running in and out far out number the company rigs. So the way I see it. The company stores might suffer however they will still be getting your dollars through the small independant stores. It’s a no win situation. We, (and I am one of them) are way to fuel dependant in every aspect of life. We created our own environment, suck it up and live with the big guy’s control or bail .I don’t like it any more than you, But this attempt to control prices won’t work. World wide we’re a hell of a lot better than other countries. The big guy’s have made it way to convenient for us to buy for them, well placed stations lots of lights so women folk feel safe stopping at 0: dark thirty. I like them too. We would rather sit around and wine as to go out of our way (generally speaking)
