Im always looking for better ways to maintain my boat and outboards. Right now I need some advice on painting my aluminum boat camoflage. If anyone has experience with this let me know what you did and what you used.

I think that's a good idea DK. Until and if such a separate fishing/boating equipment maintenance/repair site could be set up we can have threads about any specific procedures or problems right here on the BB. Other fishing sites get many helpful responses about outbord motor, trailer, tackle information needs when posted. A post example the other day was about manufacturer/shop recommendations to change the water pump impellor once a year on all OB motors, big and small. Some, including me, didn't think it wasn't needed that often; especially for garaged boats where erotion is minimized. I posted to just watch for a strong peeing water pump flow indicator. Others think it's a good idea to change them often. The only time I ever had one go out was when my kicker motor was tilted and ran w/o water cooling for a couple minutes while banked and shore fighting a fish. It melted the plastic compound impellor. Never had a problem running all others for years. ...

That's just an example, so ask away on the BB until something may get set up. smile
