Was on the sky this last week and have never been corked so many times in my like. Had four guys row pass me and throw there bait on top of my plugs and one guy start pulling plugs twenty yards down from me after he passed me in the same slot. Give me a break guys. Just show a little common courtesy. If you want to fish the same hole either follow behind or wait. I'll show you the same courtesy thanx rolleyes

Thats when you have to stand up and yell at the top of your lungs!!!!!!! Let people know that sh!t doesn't fly. Half the guys out on the Sky are such crackers you'd think they just don't know better, .......so inlighten them. My personal favorite 2 lines are as follows:

Do you always fish right on top of someone like that? or

You want me to cast on top of your sh!t all day..........because I can? if you want? or we can knock off this corking BS right now.

or
PULL THAT BOAT OVER RIGHT NOW OR CUT THAT CRAP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It doesn't always have to go that way though, I've ran into some nice guys who flat out didn't know any better. Being an @ss does get results though.

I agree with BK, it's common curtesy to give people room and respect. Down here if I see someone freedrifting a run I just let them have it and move on. There are people out there that are just learning, but for those that are just @ssholes you'd better watch behind you because short cocking will get you nothing but serious embarassment, because I will follow you all around all day and fish water behind you and bang fish... Then after a while you'll be yelling quit following me!!!
Remember first water gets you nowhere, yeh you might catch that bomb that's laying there about to go off, that bites anything. Who cares if the water is low and clear, take your time and you will see better results. Think about it, if there are 8 steelhead in one hole and someone races ahead of you and is in a hurry, is he going to catch more than 1-2 of them. Most likely not because everytime he has a boat coming down pushing him he moves.

I knew there was a reason I drive 2 hours and 27 minutes to fish!
Even if its for the day! Theres too many people too close and you can educate all day long but if you fish those metro rivers your always gonna be a teacher because thats were people start! You can enlighten one but next Sat you may have 4 more guys that have no clue! Start with a nice approach...If that dosent work, let em have it!

Beats the hell out of cutting grass after work...maybe it takes a Midwestern upbringing to really appreciate fishable waters so close to home. That or a hatered of cutting grass.
