I'm thinking of fishing either the Hoh, Sol Duc, Quinault or Queets (both in the Park) this weekend. I do not have a boat, but am willing to walk.

Any recommendations or reports on these rivers? I will probably fish with flies one day, and spinners the next.

Try the upper Hoh in the park above the fly fishing only area and throw spinners.

Rich I was looking at the National Parks web site and it changed the Queets to catch & release on all fish. Do you think they will change back so we can keep hatchery fish??http://www.nps.gov/olym/pphtml/newseventsdetail1302.html

I have no idea but I would never want to pack one out that far anyway.

Sorry I thought you were talking about the Hoh, I wasnt paying attention. But to answer your question I dont know, they seem to always be doing some strange stuff down there.

Id like to get down there and fish steelies this October I never have but here there are some trophy wild summerruns cuisin in that Time of year. To be honest with ya I have never fished the Queets or its tribs. I always wanted to but its hard to drive an hour when you have so many choices within 20 min and the fishin is just as good.
