Anything biting North of Seattle in fresh water yet? I got stuck(?) in Alaska on business for most of the summer and just got back to town. I was hoping to pay my dad back for some babysitting by taking him on a mid-week drift fishing trip. Any late steelies hanging around?

We might try our luck on the 9/1 salmon opener, but my gut feeling is it will be a zoo... especially for two flyfishermen in float tubes.

You probably know this already but for 2 guys in float tubes with flyrods, the best thing going north of the city is typically Pass lake and the area around it. You could stay dry and FF for pinks on the lower Stilly as well.
