At this point, I'm convinced I could toss just about anything at a humpy and get it to strike, but.....

I wanted to play around with my fly rod this weekend. What better way than to harass some aggressive humpoids on the Skykomish/Snohomish.

Looking for good fly recommendations for this fish on these rivers.

Hey, ReiterRat & Special, got any *good* flies up your way?

I'm almost thinking that some cerise yarn and a #1 hook is my best bet!

Don't know about the Sky/Sno rivers, but been knocking em dead in Bellingham Bay using size 12 hot pink wooley buggers.

I do a lot of fly fishing for humpies. Most of it being on the Stilly. What I have found to work well is just small (enough to get fly down though) jigs. Pink or peach colored chenille body with some fur out of the tail.

Good luck.

Parker-
We got cleaned out very very fast on most of our smaller pink flies. We've got a bunch on order and few smaller ones left. We do have lots of big pink rabbit and marabou fliees laying around but I prefer the smaller buggers.

Just shoot me a hollar and if you want Ill tie you up some. smile
